Median and Line chart

hi,

i want to find out the median donation grouped by profile ID in a bar chart.

Calculated measures for median donation is median(sum({donation amount}),[{Profile ID}],PRE_AGG)

Group: Sex (Male or Female)
X axis: Donation Date (Year)
Value: Median donation

When i put median donation into value, it says that Level Aggregated Calculation is not allowed in the barchart visualization. However the numbers do appear when i switch to Pivot table. Hope to resolve this.

Have you tried using the ‘medianIf’ calculation instead?

I want to group all the donations by donor profile ID and i do not want to impose a date condition.

Eg in a pivot table, when row is financial
Year (YYYY) and Sex (E.g. Male and Female), i am able to see the median donation amt grouped by profile id. I want a visual representation for the same pivot table.

Hi @Xingyin1991,
As this is a unique dataset layout, this may be easier to assist if you are able to upload a sample of your analysis with a anonymized dataset to the QuickSight Arena view. That way I can try out a few different scenarios.
