Metrics from CUDOS

I want to use some of the metrics from above CUDOS dashboard to generate ones of my own using Athena and QuickSight but have the following questions:

  1. Is all the data behind CUDOS also coming from CUR?
  2. I checked all the columns from CUR but couldn’t find one to one mapping between columns from CUR and metrics from CUDOS. e.g I couldn’t find EdpDiscount in the following chart in CUR data. Is there any way to find the mappings?

Hi @Leon,

Yes, the data behind the CUDOS dashboard is coming exclusively from the Cloud Usage Report - AWS Cost and Usage Reports - AWS.

I’d recommend that you have a closer look at the Cloud Intelligence Dashboards :: AWS Well-Architected Labs page, and the linked CUDOS workshop page in particular. This page gives you a detailed introduction into the topic and provides a deployment guide, which will also allow you to analyze any mapping you would like to understand better.

Hi Leon,

Those values can be found in the CUR in the column line_item_line_item_type.

The values depend on your contract and billing details, for example the EdpDiscount only exists when there is a company discount.
