I have a fromdate and todate in a dataset for a leave tracker, and I need to calculate how many employees are on leave each month. Ideally, the month should be on the X-axis, or if there’s a better visual for tracking monthly leave counts, I’m open to suggestions.
Below is the sample data in Arena
I changed the todate aggregation to Month and plotted it on the x axis. Also added employee name as a drill down if you want to see whose on leave when in addition to just how many people and the type of leave.
Sorry, I misread the question, I don’t know a way to achieve what you are after on the top of my head, I will update here if I can think of anything otherwise hopefully someone else can answer.
Hi @hellosai321,
It’s been awhile since last communication took place on this thread, are you still working on this issue or were you able to find a work around?
If still working on this; a couple questions:
What do you consider to be a ‘leave’ within a month? For instance looking at your example data, there’s someone with a ‘sick day’ that had them out for only 1 day. Does that get counted as 1 ‘leave’ within a given month? So essentially, are you trying to total the number of days within a month that everyone combined has been absent?
