I’m using boto3 to create a template but I am getting an invalid data set identifier error when trying to add the Calculated fields.
Looking into this by describing the analysis definition I can see that the calculated fields in the response uses an old data set name.
For example, the name of the old dataset was customers_test it is now just customers. But in my analysis definition the calculated field is still associated with the old dataset name.
@jonnyp - Thanks for posting your query. Seems to be some issue with the corresponding function call. The best course of action would be to open a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case.
If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS support and Will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They Should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
Also remember that if your company doesn’t have any Premium Support plan active you can still open a case using Account and Billing > QuickSight (End User) as Service.
