Hi All,
I tried Exporting data to a Excel or CSV file using a filter for a particular Client but the QuickSigth is sending me the Whole dataset to my Email as an attachment.
Is it possible to filter and send the data ?
Thanks

Hello @praveenAWS, so paginated reports do not function with parameters. At the moment it is a limitation. This is due to the fact that the data returned in the paginated report is a static snapshot.
The only thing I know they work with is if you have RLS applied to the datasets you are utilizing. This would ensure that users receiving the report would only have access to the data their QuickSight user is able to view. That would be the best way to ensure users are only accessing the data appropriate to their account.
The other option is to use Snapshot Export APIs, which supports the passing in of Parameters to restrict the data that is to be exported. The API support the export to PDF, Excel and CSV output types. An additional benefit of using the APIs is that you can specify your own S3 bucket location to which these generated files can be stored, from which subsequent distribution of the files can be built.
You can find more information on the APIs here:
Thanks much @DylanM and @Rahul_Easwar for the response.
Ok understood will give that a try.
Hi Rahul,
Iām wondering will blog(pasted on the bottom) create a new report each time that is run or it will just create a new snapshot of the report?
