We’ve a paginated report which used to take ~10 minutes to generate until last week but now taking forever to generate and not working even waiting for an hour. There is no change in datasets, data volume or any visual. All the visuals on the analyses loads within 5 seconds.
Even when it was working, ~10 minutes is too long of a time for a PDF to generate when visuals load in seconds and now it’s not working at all.
Q. How can we debug the issue? Are there any cloudwatch metrics logged specifically to track pdf generation performance and errors during the process?
Q. Is there any ongoing initiative on QuickSight end to improve pdf generation performance?
Hi @lvatsa, Sorry to hear the PDF generation is not working as expected. To look into this further it would be best to raise a support ticket.
Here are the steps for opening a support ticket - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support . If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
