Paginated Reports/ Pixel Perfect Reports

Hello everyone,
We’re currently facing a couple of challenges with QuickSight Pixel Perfect Reports, and I’d appreciate any insights or guidance you might have.

  1. When we publish a Pixel Perfect report as a dashboard, the report isn’t visible directly. It requires scheduling first, and only after the threshold time the report reflect in the published version of the dashboard. Is there a way to make the report viewable immediately without scheduling?
  2. We need to implement ad hoc filtering using parameters in the URL. However, when we pass parameters via the URL, the filtering doesn’t apply to the report and when downloaded, the report just downloads as a PDF without reflecting the filters. Is there a way to ensure the parameters affect the report dynamically and reflect in the output?
  3. For exporting the report as CSV or Excel, we noticed that scheduling is required, and the download is based on the most recent snapshot. Unlike interactive dashboards, we can’t directly download Excel or CSV exports. Is there any workaround for directly downloading CSV or Excel without scheduling?
Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

Hi @Yamini_Baskar_24

  1. The purpose of the Pixel Perfect reports is basically for publishing purposes. I do agree with you it would be nice to see how the fully published report would look like without have to schedule and get an output.

However, I have used Test or schedule the dashboard using the Once option to myself to see how things look and then adjust things as necessary.

  1. There is a Prompt in paginated reports option. I haven’t had the need to use this so far, so I have not really tried, but it looks like an option you can use.

  2. Same answer as 1
