Period Over Period Comparison

Hi Everyone I am trying to create a Period Over Period Comparison for my data. I am not sure how to utilize a parameter in this instance or the period-over-period formula shown in the public Quick sight. I am trying to create MoM $ and % Variances to show in may dashboard. The data set already comes with predetermined date fields i.e. #execution_Month. Could you please assist.
For example
My “Revenue” is sum"order_revenue"
for Orders which are “CountDistinct_order id”
