Q: What capabilities are available to explore the catalog of available data for people new to Q topics
A: You can explore the fields of datasets and then go into specific semantic information, aggregation, and preview some of the data in those fields. Then you can curate the fields to better represent answers from your queries. For example, if I had a field called “revenue” and data values included “14000”, I could explore the topic and refine the topic so Q knows it’s a currency, and add formatting to be something like $14,000 instead → this will help give context to the answers it provides. We have a previous learning series session on “Mastering Q Topics” which you can find in the Q corner under “How-to Videos” that goes deep into this subject, highly recommend checking that out.
Q: Can I use my company Corporate Identity when AI creates the report?
A: When Amazon Q generates a report in data stories, it will only use the dashboard and dataset(s) associated with it. Q does not use outside information to generate the report for security in your AWS account. Hope that helps.
