Q: If the account was set up without that connection to IAM Identity center then the only way to utilize this feature would be to recreate the account and migrate all existing assets?
A: Yes, that is correct. So, because quicksight identity authentication happens only at the setup time, there is no easy way to directly switch between the identities, uh, after the account has been provisioned. So, the only way would be is to take backup of your assets, recreate the account and restore those assets and then you will be able to use it
Q: Do you set up the permissions via Lake Formation?
A: permissions link permission is a different thing, uh, link formation permissions you can set up permissions and, lake permission also for these identity center users. There is a blog post that is available. If you post your question in community, we will be able to post the link to the blog post there. Uh, right now, I do not have it handy unfortunately, but, uh, once this new blog post also goes out, it will have links to both a link permission and redshift and how to set up your permissions in each of those sources and quicksight will be able to inherit that.
Q: Can IAM identity center support multiple IdP’s at the same time so that I can have one Quicksight customer using Okta and another Quicksight customer using Microsoft AD for their authentication and single-sign-on.
A: Single sign on as of now, uh, IAM identity supports only 1, uh, identity provider 3rd party identity provider. Our team is looking into how we can best support, multiple identity providers through. I am identity center, but as of now, that is 1 of the limitations that it supports only 3rd party identity provider.
