Question about registered Quicksight Users

Hey All,

We are planning on creating QS Register User accounts in our internal AWS account for external users and then doing registered user embedding for Topics and Dashboards.

Just had one Question.

Does the email address we use to create the account for every user need to be accessible to them? We want to just make it some abbreviation of our email address like userforourservice+4@amazon.com since it doesnt seem like it will be used by them. We will be storing a mapping of that email we use and the username we set to their aws account id anyway.

Hello. When you use email address register a user, an invitation link will be sent to the registered email. Then this user needs to complete the registration by clicking the invitation link. So it’s not recommend to use an invalid email address.
