Here are the key Q&A points from the session in the requested format:
Q: Can I download the presentation and use it for my employer’s portal?
A: The recording of this session will be available on our community and YouTube channel. You can use and share those recordings. I can’t send out the deck itself, but feel free to use the recording.
Q: How do you link multiple data sets and refer them in Q query?
A: When uploading data sets into my Q query, Q ingests that data on the backend. I can either upload data sets associated with my dashboard, which I did in the beginning for the Ken Pomeroy data, or I can upload data sets directly from my desktop as Excel files, like I did for the shooting splits data set.
Q: Does this support German? If so, when approximately?
A: Currently no, but I believe it’s on the roadmap. We’ll have to check with our product management team on the timeline.
Q: Can we get access to or a copy of the data set you are using? It looks like a lot of fun playing around with the data set or maybe just an email copy of the reports you created.
A: All these data sets are publicly available. I pulled them from the Ken Pomeroy public website and Kaggle. I’ll upload the data sets to GitHub and tag them with #QLS-scenarios when I post the recording. You’ll be able to download the files and use them in your own QuickSight scenarios.
