Hello Team,
I am building a dashboard and I have changed a few column names in the visual properties. The names gets reflected immediately in the analysis page but the name does not get updated in the dashboard after the publish. Do we have any fix for this?
Thank you.
Hello @tivinayz, welcome to the Amazon Quick Community!
Have you tried republishing the dashboard after updating the dataset? It should automatically update with the change, but it might be worth trying that out first.
Also, is there any chance you have customized column names in any of the visuals? The changes in the analysis will override the dataset, so you may want to check and see if custom names are displayed in table headers, and x & y axes.
Let me know if any of these things help!
Hello @DylanMorozowski , Thank you for the response. I have made the changes in the analysis itself, I did select my visual and then manually edited the column name, the name in dataset was changed to a different name. But the column names still shows the old name ( in the dashboard ), whereas the analysis show the name updated.
Thank you.
Hi @tivinayz
I had run into something similar sometime back with a pivot table visual. If the user makes any changes to the visual; as in increases/reduces the column width etc then QuickSight recognizes this as a customization. You can recognize this with the dot that appears on the customize button.

When we republish the dashboard; the customized visual does not get updated. You should hit the reset to original and then you should be able to see your changes.

Hello @Giridhar.Prabhu
Thank you for the response. I am working with a table visual. I was able to fix the issue using the above method. I opened the dashboard and clicked on the reset visual. Once the visual is reset my changes in the analysis got reflected in the dashboard.
Thank you.
