I’m trying to enable within an existing embeddable dashboard the sidebar quick agent chat experience, as depicted in the blog post announcing the embeddable quickchat experience.
The issue I’m facing, is that I only see the quickchat conversation shown, and am unable to show both a dashboard and the chat sidepanel. My goal is to allow users the ability to interact with chat agent while analyzing a dashboard in real time. This functionality is depicted in the blog post, but I’m unable to achieve.
Has anyone been able to successfully accomplish this? I’m wondering if maybe the screenshot shared is upcoming feature for embeddable quickchat?
Any help from QuickSight team on what’s is currently possible would be great, thanks!
Nice seeing you back in the Quick Community! With this recent feature, I would recommend instead of trying to integrate embedded chat agent into embedded dashboard, to embed both of them separately onto your application and keep them close together to achieve similar desired behavior. Specifically for the chat agent you can put your dashboard into a Space so that you can attach it as a knowledge base.
Thanks Luis for the reply. Yes, that certainly could be a workaround. The example they show here is what I’m after really. Embedded side pane within the embedded dashboard experience.
Our customers today leverage the dashboard through embedded, so being able to enhance the embedded dashboard experience with a sidepane within the same container would be ideal, rather than trying to have separate embedded panes.
Are you able to help submit this to QuickSight team as a feature request for enhanced dashboard/agent experience?
That is totally understandable. I will make sure to mark this post as a Feature Request so that the AWS Team can address if this is an upcoming feature (or at the very least look into implementing this functionality) in the future.
