QuickSight BoxPlot Calculated Reference lines

I can’t add calculated reference lines to any boxplot, regardless of the dataset or aggregation applied to my data. The visual only displays constant reference lines but does not show the calculated ones.

Hi @cosorio,
So are you saying that the reference line you added is not populating on the visual? Could you share the calculated field that you’re using? Do you have anything setup in your ‘group by’ field for the visual as well?

Thank you

Yes, it not populating,

the visual is set only to show the final time to verify value in a boxplot form, i have tried different aggregations, in this case the maximum of the maximum of the same value showed in the visual, also i have tried multiple approachs like different data aggregations, using a constant dummy value in the group-by field, and even using another dataset. Despite these attempts, none resulted in a populated reference line, it only shows a value if i set any constant line as a reference line

Same issue. Calculated reference lines from my existing dashboards have disappeared.

Hi @cosorio,
When testing out, it seemed to be linked to the ‘aggregated as’ section.
It looks like ‘final_time_to_verify’ is not a calculated field, have you tried doing the aggregation in a calculated field instead and using that as your plot line?

Hi @kcolony,
If you’re facing an issue where you had an existing reference line but it’s disappeared, I would suggest creating a support ticket to get more direct assistance.

I have worked with Reference Lines in other types of visuals in Quicksight. Currently, I’ve encountered some buggy behavior when trying to calculate the average as a calculated field instead of using the Reference Lines calculation. I think I’ll need to submit a support ticket too.
