This is how it is showing on email when published -
Hello Shivam,
First of all Welcome to the QuickSight Community.
When you say Publish on email, i assume you are referring to schedule to email as pdf.
I think first you need to export it to pdf to see if you get the same output behaviour. If yes, you may need to check in the analysis if the alignments of those KPI visuals are appropriate as per the background. Also try to see if it was set to Fit to visual or actual size while publishing.
Assuming you are not using freeform layout.
Hope this helps in troubleshooting.
Cheers,
Deep
Hi Deep,
Thanks for responding and giving viable solution. While downloading or exporting as PDF and even visualizing it as a dashboard, the KPI visual is well placed as in the original. Only the email body containing the screenshot of the KPI boxes shows them scattered. Even after trying to adjust the visual using Actual Size/Fit to width, the issue still persistent. Also not using the Free-Form layout, but using the Tiled Layout. (Alignment of KPI is fine w.r.t background.)
Hello Shivam,
It seems and sounds like the mail server thing. Have you try opening the email and check the behaviour? i mean within the same page and opening the explicit email in a new window.
Try the same approach with different email id and see if it makes any difference ? ( provided you have different user or can create a quicksight user with different email id such as gmail etc. ( you should be QuickSight Admin to do that.)
Let us know how it goes.
cheers,
Deep
Hello Deep,
As suggested we have tried with some other email id as well and somehow we are facing the same issue of misalignment of screenshot in the email body. The KPI’s for a particular row are getting scattered with too much of space in between. Moreover we have tried changing the layout as well but still the issue persists. Even though the row below it having same structure is not showing any discrepancy.
Hi @shivazr, can we try these three steps,
- First, increase the dashboard width to 1920px.
- Decrease the KPI size and the titles of the KPIs.(Give some space between the KPIS)
- Alternatively, you can try using the free-form layout
Thanks & Regards

Thanks Biswajit for the solution. Now the reports are publishing well. It worked by changing the layout to Free-Form and dashboard width to 1920px. KPI’s are well placed. No scattering.
Hi @shivazr,
I’m happy to see that you found your answer.
Thanks & Regards,
