Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to reference other QuickSight data to pull into a new dashboard? New to QS, but not new to this process. Just need a quick run down on how to get my first dashboard going.

Ideally, you need to create dataset first and create analysis on it. after that you can publish the dashboards. This is the generic flow of create dashboard.
if you want to use existing dataset and create new, it will show the existing dataset.
if you want to add new QS dataset to existing dataset, you can do this as
