Quicksight user identity type change

Hi,

@Jesse @Naveed

I would like to enable groups management UI as per:

My admin user’s “IdentityType” is “QUICKSIGHT” and it needs to be “IAM” in order to enable the feature.
Is it possible to amend the identity type without changing the user name and loosing access to all the QS resources?
Creating an IAM user with the same name doesn’t work.

Is there any workaround if the amendment is not possible?

Thanks, A

Once you create a user, we cannot change the “IdentityType” of the user. You could create another account for the user with different username or delete the existing user and recreate them with IAM permission.

Hi,

No feature seen right now. You can create new and assign all the objects which are used by old one.
You cannot drop a user until assign all anyalsis or dashboard to other user. Its is good option by AWS to make sure the lose of dev/dataset etc.

One thing more this features is available in "Enterprise "
