Is there a way to set quicksight autorefresh so it acts as a real time dashboard ( with none Spice dataset )

Hi @daniel.mckee2 - You can make the data set as direct query, so that when a user will access the visual, it will fetch the data from DB in real time to the source.

Thanks for you respond, by setting dataset to Direct Query I understand when you access visual , it will fetch latest data .
but if dataset is set to direct query and when you are on your visual, it wont just auto update ( when you have the visual already open)? One have to refresh the visual? Visual never get auto refresh itself ?

Automatic refresh is only available if you use Capacity Pricing plan.
That can be quite expensive, so I would suppose your alternative would be to embed your dashboard and refresh it from the outer page. Alternatively, if applicable, you might consider using some browser extension to refresh the page automatically.
