Role based access to Quicksight

I was accessing the QS dashboard using my IAM role, I created an account based on my email, but my username in QS was my role name.
The management decides to change SSO permission sets, and I was given a brand new permission set. I am not able to access my dashboard, or analysis or datasets as my SSO role name has changed.

Is there a way to get access to my dashboards…

Appreciate all the help

Hi @Sabiha Your QuickSight admin will be able to grant your new username in QuickSight access to all the assets that were owned by your previous username. I would recommend reaching out to them, unless you have already done so and are facing any issues?

Link to a blog that should help, especially the section on “Transfer assets”: Govern and manage permissions of Amazon QuickSight assets with the new centralized asset management console | AWS Big Data Blog

Thank you @SD_QS . This is something new for me as well.

Hi @Sabiha - Please give a try, whether it is resolving your issue or not.

many thanks @SD_QS , this worked like a charm, I created an Admin and that admin was able to give access to the assets to other users. Really appreciate.
