I’m using this blog Automate and accelerate your Amazon QuickSight asset deployments using the new APIs | AWS Business Intelligence Blog trying to deploy assets within same account and same region. I have one data source that needs to be mapped to EXISTING target data source in same account.
Running the command below does what is needed, but it creates a new data source on target.
Can I somehow map existing data source in target and have assets use it instead of creating new data source?
@Natasa can you confirm if you are using prefix when deploying assets.
No I’m not using it.
I too need advice on changing the data source in an asset bundle to match the existing data source in my target environment.
@Natasa for now mapping to an existing data source is not supported, I will add this as a feature request.
You have couple of options - 1/ you can use asset as code 2/ modify the json file in the bundle file.
