I have created a Q topic via AWS console and generated AI suggested questions.
This topic is attached to a dataset. I have different dataset for different customers.
So in order to connect topic to different dataset, I used API “describe_topic” to get the topic description and updated the dataset arn and used create_topic API to create new topic with updated dataset ARN. Topic was created but AI generated suggested questions are empty.
Is there any API to generate suggested questions on topic created via API.
I tried duplicating the topic from AWS console, In that case it retained the suggested questions also.
Or is there any other way to connect same topic to different datasets?
Hi Saurabh! Currently from what I do know, we do not have any API that to generate suggested questions. Here is the list of current APIs that can work with Q in QuickSight via AWS Documentation ( Work with QuickSight Q topics using the Amazon QuickSight APIs - Amazon QuickSight ). In addition to your question about another way to connect the same topic to multiple datasets, this is much easily done via the QuickSight UI. If you select on the Data tab in the Q Topic and select Dataset, then the add dataset button as shown below.

we cannot use API to create suggested question. But there is API to create reviewed question
The reviewed question will be displayed under the Suggested question.
