Table width with Action Navigation

I have a table widgets with a action navigation to a second tab whre there is another table widgets.
Every time that I click on the item link the second table appears with broken width. If I click in refresh it show as normal. Looks like the problem is with this navigation action.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

Hello @igfasouza, welcome to the QuickSight community!

I have a few questions about this dashboard. Is this an embedded dashboard or are you using the QuickSight console? Also, when you say a table of widgets, what exactly are you displaying on the sheet that is breaking? Lastly, what visual is the navigation action on and are you including anything else in the action? Possibly setting a parameter value or something? I know that is a lot of questions but I haven’t seen this problem before. With some more information , I can try to guide you towards a solution!

Hi, thanks for your time.

Is easy to reproduce. If you create a new dashboard add only one widget table. I have one field on the grou by and 2 fields on the value.

Create a second tab and add another table, again. it doesn’t matter the fields here. My example is one field on the grou by and 2 fields on the value.

On the first tab I add a Navigation action that is once a click in one line it navigate to the second tab table.

Aways open the second tab table with broken width.
You can resise the widget width, but the second table will always appear broken.

My navigation action send one parameter to the second table.

I’m testing this at Quicksight it self. Just go to dashboard and open the dashboad there.
If I refresh the dashboard the table fix the widh it self.
If I open the dashboard and just click on the second tab instead of using the Navigation action I don’t see the error. The table width is normal.

I guess the best way to see that is if you add a background colour in the table. You will see clearly that the table is smaller than the the widget.

Hello @igfasouza, that is really interesting. I tried testing this out as well and I am not experiencing this same issue.

I would recommend filing a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case . If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. I hope this helps!

Hello @igfasouza, since I have not heard back in a few days with any further questions, I will go ahead and archive this question. If you are not able to resolve this through AWS Support or have further questions afterwards, please post a new topic in the community and link to this question. That will ensure you are at the top of the priority list for a response from one of our QuickSight experts. Thank you!
