Tables with a Horizontal scroll don't work in Firefox?

I have shared dashboards from a number of teams and my primary browser is Firefox (currently 126.0.1) on Windows 11.

Using these QuickSight dashboards is painful in Firefox as the horizontal scroll bars often don’t work or disappear and when you mouse over don’t reappear or work. Is this something that can be fixed within Quicksight? Or is this something Firefox needs to address?

As a workaround I can either use Chrome. Or per this article Secondary right-side navigation slider missing | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support I can turn off the option in Windows 11 to auto-hide scroll bars that are not in use. This seems to fix it, but now the scroll is always visible (but it works).

Hello @jpetz, welcome to the QuickSight community!

This is a very interesting issue and I am unsure of where the source of this problem is. It does seem like a mix of issues between firefox and windows 11, which I personally do not use either so I haven’t had the same experience. One option you have to try and get more information from the QuickSight side would be to file a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details to help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case.

If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.

Otherwise, it does seem like using Chrome as your browser for QuickSight might be the best course of action for now. I always use QuickSight in chrome and haven’t seen any issues like this so it may be the better browser for viewing your dashboards for the time being.

Let me know if this helps!
