What does "Never aggregate in filter" for fields in Q mean?

What does the “Never aggregate in filter” setting do? Can I have an example of the kind of question it rules out?

The documentation doesn’t really have any details on this. I found some customer questions where people say to use it, but without saying why.

Hi @DanCory,

I believe it means that if QuickSight needs to filter by your measure to answer your question, it should not use any aggregation. It’s the equivalent of selecting “No aggregation” for your filter in your analysis.
