What is the best way to document a dataset?

I would like to add a description to a dataset that gives a general idea of what the dataset contains and how the data is collected.

I know there are ways to add descriptions to individual fields, but is there a way that I can add a description to the overall dataset itself? TYIA.

Hi,

Major the name convention of a dataset. Second one the add Title or text somewhere and hide it so the end user cannot see it but during development everybody can see it.
