YTD Insight with Count Distinct

Hey team,

I need to create a YTD insight versus the previous year with a field aggregated with Count Distinct, yet this throws up errors as below:

I need to use the Count Distinct aggregation for the data as otherwise the dataset is double and triple counting some values. It’s an issue with the data I can’t figure out. I have tried aggregating the value with Count Distinct in SQL and this isn’t displaying the correct distinct number of the value:

So I’m wondering if there are workarounds for running period-to-date insights with Count Distinct values…

Could you provide a few more details on the issue itself ?

I am using period to date insight along with a table to validate if the numbers are correct
