So is this a scenario where the dataset in discussion used to have the incremental refresh option but now it does not?
A few things to confirm:
- Is the dataset still in SPICE?
- Was there any change made to the fields in the dataset (potentially a timestamp that would be required to run the refresh based on?
- Are there any issues with the datasource connection?
- Have any permissions been adjusted on your account?

Everything remains the same — no changes were made to the fields, timestamps, or configuration. The dataset is still in SPICE, and the connection to Amazon RDS works correctly.
The issue appeared only after the recent update: the incremental refresh option no longer shows up for newly created datasets. The datasets that already had incremental refresh configured still display and run it correctly, but any new dataset I upload no longer shows the incremental refresh configuration option.

That seems quite odd to me; I would suggest creating a support ticket to report this behavior to the AWS support team:

I came across this article that details the features that are not currently available in the new data prep experience:
It looks like incremental refreshes are one of those features. So for the dataset that you’d like to apply an incremental refresh to, you’ll need to first revert it back to the old legacy version.
