We set a default sort order on table visuals, so users of our published dashboard see records automatically sorted on a particular field. Users would like to see that sort order has been set on specific columns via a visual indicator in the table header. As Readers set their own sort order on table columns, they would like to see the visual indicator update to show which column(s) have sort order set. An icon like the standard sort icon (two arrows stacked) in the table header for each column would be ideal. If anyone has other ideas about how to visually display the sort order set for a table visual, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts?

Currently, the ability to add indicators to table headers is not a possible feature in QuickSight. I agree that this would be a useful feature so I’ll go ahead and mark this as a feature request!
