Calculate Opening Stock & Value

I am facing the issue to calculate the Opening stock for Jan 2024 as I am applied the filter of date & also group the date to show only the current year records based on month as share in the screenshot.

As I said I have applied a filter that’s a reason in the view I don’t have previous year records & due to that I am not able to calculate it as I am using the pivot view. So can you please help me on this.

I have Brand, Category, Item, date & quantity filed in the dataset from Jan 2023.

Hello @NirmalSingh !

I may have misunderstood your question but depending on your calculation to determine opening value you could use a level aware calculation (Using level-aware calculations in Amazon QuickSight - Amazon QuickSight) and apply PRE_FILTER to bypass your date filter.

Ending Stock = Opening Stock + Received Stock - Sales
