Can a visual’s title be changed based on the name of the bookmark calling it? For example, we have a report titled “Trending Cloud Product Spend.” If a user filters the report and creates a bookmark called “AWS Product Spend for 2024”, when they use that bookmark, the title of the visual is now “AWS Product Spend for 2024”. I know you can change the title based on parameters, but I don’t see a way to set the parameter = bookmark.
Hi @lcusick and welcome to the Quick Suite Community!
While there’s no out of the box way to incorporate your bookmark’s title into your visual title; the only item that can easily be referred to in titles would be a parameter value.
So with that capability, you could create a parameter and create custom values (that would be your bookmark titles) and then those can be applied to each dashboard so that you can refer to them there. But these would need to be somewhat hardcoded in as you can’t build actions on visuals that react to bookmarks either.
Additionally, I’ll mark this as a feature request to promote visibility to the support team.
That’s what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation!
You can’t directly change the visual’s title in Amazon Quick-Sight based on which bookmark called it. However, you can use a workaround: overlay text boxes on a free-form layout and set rules so that different titles appear based on parameter selections.
