Change the group name

Hi all,

I’m wondering if I could change the group name in the red box below.
I found a way of deleting the group name but I couldn’t find a way of changing the group name with CLI.

Please let me know if there’s any way to update the group name.

Hello Boram,

you cannot update or delete Group via Console only edit Group descriptions.

you should be able to that only via CLI -update-group — AWS CLI 2.17.1 Command Reference

Yes, I know it only can be edited via CLI and I’ve already read that API reference.
But still, I couldn’t find a way to edit the group name via CLI.

Please let me know if there’s any way to update the group name.

Hi @iamboram

Currently it’s not possible to update/rename QuickSight Group both in Console & API . Update-Group API does updating group description only not the name. I will mark this as feature request .
