Hello! We have a weekly operational call with our department head. We present this data on a QuickSight Dashboard. Is their a way that users with read only access leave comments similar to Google Docs or Quip? This is a follow up to this 2022 post.
Hi @greatrg
Welcome to the community!
Please refer the below documentation this might be helpful for you.
Hey, how are you @Xclipse thank you for getting back to me.
That does not solve this problem for my team.
I’m looking for a feature similar to the comment feature of Power BI
Add comments to dashboards and reports - Power BI | Microsoft Learn.
We need a way to update leadership in advance for our weekly meetings. We use a Quip document now to solve this problem, but that is not efficient.
Hi @greatrg
I’m doing well! thank you for asking.
A simpler workaround/approach might be to add a link on the dashboard that sends users to a form (e.g., Google Forms or Microsoft Forms) to collect comments or feedback on specific data.
Sorry, currently this is not possible but I’m marking this for feature request. At AWS, their roadmap is primarily driven by customers. Your feedback helps them build a better service. I have tagged this as a feature request. More features are being added on a regular basis, so please keep an eye on the [What’s New / Blog ] (What's New / Blog - Amazon QuickSight Community). You can set up a Watching Alert by clicking on the bell icon.
You could look to opening up a case with AWS and see if they can provide a solution.
Here are the steps to open a support case . If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
Hope this helps!
Okay thanks, we are using Quip for now as a work around.
I will also write a feature request SIM ticket.
Thank you for your help!
Hi @greatrg,
Since this has already been marked as a ‘feature request’ by Xclipse, I’ll go ahead and close out this topic.
However, if you have any additional questions, feel free to create a new post in the community.
Thank you!
