Conditional formatting based on column

Hi,

I have found the option to do conditional formatting, however different facilities have different targets. Therefore I’d like to add a target column to the formatting.

I’ve selected the pivot an table visual, but can’t seem to be able to add a column. Am I doing things wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,

Pivot table supports conditional formatting. You can format the value part based on any dimension or measure as aggregation.
Here is the blog for Quicksight conditional formatting.

Right, you can format one column based on the values from another column (that is not even in your pivot).

However if you are trying to compare the actual vs target columns, you probably need to create a calculated field first that finds the difference, and then base your conditional formatting off of this field.

Thanks Jesse, for now this is still a bit counterintuitive. But a nice workaround!
