Hi,
I am trying to add a conditional formatting to my pivot table but it does not do anything.
I want a green icon if the number is above 0, an orange icon if it’s 0 and a red icon if it’s below 0.
My numbers look like this “3004, -4980, 109878…”
What am I missing?
Hello @Agatha,
Can you check that the aggregation of the conditional formatting is the same as the aggregation on your pivot table?
Hi @Agatha,
as @andres007 said and what datatype is the field you looking at?
BG
The field I’d like to add an icon to (YoY Changes) is a calculated field. When I go to “edit the calculated filed” the syntax is “abs (expression)”.
In my table, the aggregation type of the field is shown as “Custom”.
Hi,
If you have calculated fields then the aggregation is custom and cannot be changed, that is OK. What I find strange is that your calculated field returns an absolute value but the values you mentioned also contain negative values.
Another thing, just to be on the safe side, make surre that you choose the Apply button at the bottom to apply the changes.
Hi Andres,
I have just checked and I could see “Absolute value” on the bottom right corner of my screen because the function “abs” was selected. So I’m guessing my field is just “custom”.
I also made sure to click “Apply” when editing the conditional formatting of my table but nothing changed.
Thanks
@Agatha Is it possible to share more of you screen? because we cant see the field name of the conditional formatting or the table itself to make sure. Its kind of fishing in the dark and a back and forth.
