I am trying to create a space within Quicksight that connects dashboards or knowledge bases from multiple accounts that are both for AWS employees. The data ownership changes between the spaces, but would prefer to include that data in a single space so we can use it for queries, ask questions, and provide general Quick capabilities to the space even though the data appears partitioned between general accounts. Please let me know if this works or if it’s possible!
Hi @ztompers,
Welcome to the Quick Community! As of now, I do not believe it is possible to bring in different dashboards/knowledge bases into one Space. This is because the only sharing capabilities Spaces have involve user accessibility via view/edit permissions (with no cross-account data sharing included in those capabilities).
Although a little different from what you want, I would recommend having one account with all the dashboards and other data you need. Then, assign IAM permissions for both users to workaround that limitation I mentioned.
Let me know if this helps!
It does help to an extent that it answers my question, although not in the way I was hoping. I can’t really control the one account aspect for the entire org, but I would assume the data sources each pulls from is something I can get access to. Now I just need some redshift help, but thanks for the quick response!
