I have created a filter on a column and exposed it as a control on top of the sheet. When I try to search for a value in the drop down, it is not showing the matching result where as same is present in the visual.

Hello Nikhitha,
As per the image it looks ok. did you apply the filter to Visuals/single sheet or cross sheet?
May be you missed to apply ? just a guess.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I have applied the created filter to the visual. Though it is not applied, The Problem is list of all the available values of the column are visible in a visual but not in the dropdown list of the filter in the control.
Hello Nikhitha,
I guess the text/string field contains too many values (>1000 distinct )and if thats the case it does not show the list instead it may show a search box.
Not sure if thats the case for you.
Cheers,
Deep
hi @Deep , Yes that’s true, If the list is very huge (>1000 distinct), it is giving me a search box but even after searching there, the result should show the matching values of it right? It is not even giving me the required search value but when I select the filter as “All”, the visual is showing all the values including the required one that I have been searching for but same is not getting shown in the filtered values when we enter the text in the search box. “Basically a column is showing all the values in a visual but not in a filter control”.
Hello,
Is the behaviour same for all the values of just June2. Is this happening in the Analysis or Dashboard ?
Let me know.
thank you.
Deep
It is same for some values and it is happening both in Analysis and Dashboard as well.
Hello Nikhitha,
In that case, I would recommend filing a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
Hope this help.
Cheers,
Deep
I got the issue resolved.
I was exploring all the available options and tried ‘refresh’ option provided for a control. It refreshed the drop-down list and am able to see all the values now.
