Customer question: Looking for guidance: Quick Sight capability to show all table columns by default

Hi team, I am posting this question for a customer:

"Hi,

I am new to Quicksight and exploring. I am trying to create a dashboard in QS to show a Snowflake table. I have to mention every column name explicitly to show in the dashboard. If I add/remove a column in future I have to update the dashboard as well. Is there a way all the columns of the table are selected by default in QS. This is possible in Tableau. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance."

Hi @Kristin

Snowflake tables can be connected to Quick either directly or through a custom SQL query using SELECT * FROM your_table to bring in all columns initially. In the dataset editor, the All option at the top of the fields pane lets you quickly select or deselect every field during preparation.

After importing all the columns into the dataset, create an analysis and drag desired fields from the Fields list to your visuals, such as tables, to display them.

Note: Each dataset supports up to 2000 columns maximum. For more details, please see the data source limits.

Please refer to the following documentation this might be helpful.
