Data not reflecting after join

I am trying to join two datasets which originate from an excel sheet. I originally wanted to do a left join (tried all joins) but data is just not appearing. The key field I am using is 100% correct in both my sheets (even did a v-lookup in excel just for my sanity). What am I missing?
I am trying to join 2020_2023_flight data set to the Daily Metrics Daily Shares Sheet using the Key_field_trend from both sheets. When doing an inner join it picks up nothing - which makes no sense as I have the corresponding data

Hi @Megan - Welcome to AWS QuickSight community and thanks for posting the question. Can you please ensure the both the fields are same type and there is NO space in excel. If the data is not confidential, can you share screenshot?

Hi @Sanjeeb2022 , both key fields are string. I have double checked whether any spaces - no spaces. As mentioned I also have done a v-lookup in excel (which is space and character sensitive) and it works perfectly. Data is sensitive but I can share a snip and leave some information out or change data for the sake of this case.

Hi @Megan - Since both data sources are different sources, is it possible to do a SPICE and then do the join.
In parallel, i will advise you to raise a ticket to AWS Customer support team so that they can validate the issue by screenshare. Please do not share the data as it is sensitive.

To raise a ticket, please follow the link - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support.

HI @Sanjeeb2022 , the company which manages our Quicksight will need to log a ticket as I have no rights. Overall, it seems as though the join functionality is not working properly as this was working the past 2 weeks.

Hi @Megan - No issues, is it possible to create a new data sets and check it again .
Since the data sources are different sources, is it possible to make it SPICE and then do the join.
