I am creating SPICE dataset with Author role on Postgre sql database through Aurora RDS DB Connector. However, the dataset is getting deleted automatically after 10 minutes and the dashboards built on it are going blank. Could you kindly guide if there are any settings to do for data retention period or any is that something I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

QuickSight will not delete dataset automatically unless the owner specifically delete it from UI or API/CLI. are you sure the dataset was deleted? was the dataset configured to ingest into SPICE? during the SPICE ingestion, the data is not available on the dashboard.

Hi @Wakana, Thanks for your reply. Yes I am sure it is getting deleted. I could bring the data into SPICE and start building visuals but after 10 minutes, it’s getting deleted and shows message like Dataset got deleted and asks to replace it.
Hello @krishna.c, were you able to resolve this issue or figure out why your dataset was getting deleted? If you are still facing this issue, I found this other community topic that has documentation linked regarding setting up the access for the QuickSight connection with Aurora. It seems like there might be an issue with your Aurora permissions.
