I apologize for the basic question. I’m still getting my Quick Sight legs.
I’m trying to understand if I need to create a Topic in order to build effective Executive Summaries and Data Stories. I originally thought that I must link an analysis to a Topic in order to open up those two features, but it appears as though that’s not correct.
My question is, can I build effective Executives Summaries and Data Stories while just using “plain” datasets or will I get more robust narratives if I first create a Topic and build summaries and stories on top of that Topic data.
You don’t need to create a Topic to have an effective executive summaries and Data stories on Amazon Quick Sight. These two Generative BI features will work well without the topic.
Ok got it. Thank you for clarifying. So is a Topic really only needed in order to facilitate the Conversational analytics feature within Q? Being able to ask questions about your data using natural language?
Just making sure I have the use case correct. I wasn’t sure what other features might get turned on as well (or work better) within a Topic vs just a normal dataset.
