Dynamic Parameter value based based on value of another parameter

Dear QuickSight Experts,

I have a use case as below:

1st parameter is AtoD, with A, B, C, D four deal types.

Goal is, when I choose:

• Deal type A, column header ‘Diff Pct 1’ change to “B vs A”, column header ‘Diff Pct 2’ change to “C vs A”, ‘Diff Pct 3’ change to “D vs A”.
• Deal type B, column header ‘Diff Pct 1’ change to “A vs B”, column header ‘Diff Pct 2’ change to “C vs B”, ‘Diff Pct 3’ change to “D vs B”.
• Deal type C, column header ‘Diff Pct 1’ change to “A vs C”, column header ‘Diff Pct 2’ change to “B vs C”, column header ‘Diff Pct 3’ change to “D vs C”.
• Deal type D, column header ‘Diff Pct 1’ change to “A vs D”, column header ‘Diff Pct 2’ change to “B vs D”, column header ‘Diff Pct 3’ change to “C vs D”.

I tried to set another parameter “Name1” to enable this function.

Choosed “Calculated Field”

And put in following calculation

I put in the parameter “Name1” into the title for Diff Pct 1 (SUM)

But the header shows “All” instead of “A vs C” as I wished.

Can someone please help me here? Thanks!

You want the calculated field result as the header; but that is not possible. What is shown in the column header you have selected is the value of the parameter.

Looking at your screenshots it appears what you have on your sheet control is the parameter named AtoD; but in the visual you put the parameter Name1 which has the default value All since you have not included that in the visual and probably does not have a default.

While I would have liked a dynamic way to display the column header currently that is not available the way you want.

You mentioned Shravya’s suggestion works for you and you should go with that for now.
