Hey, I can’t seem to edit or view the how the calculated measures have been calculated. what might be the reason for this.
Hi @Kajeevan23 Welcome to the QuickSight community
Has the calculated field you are referring to been created at the dataset level as part of the data preparation or within a specific analysis?
No, it was created at the analysis level. so it wasn’t created as part of the data preparation but for visualisation purposes
And you have access to the analysis as an author and you’re not able to view / edit the calculated field that was created in the same analysis? Were you the one who created the calculated field under discussion?
I’m just an author on the analysis, I did not create this measure but wanted to see how it was being calculated. Do I need to be the creator of the measure to be able to view it and edit it?
No, I don’t think you need to be the creator of a calculated field if you’re added as an author of that analysis.
Are you able to share the error screenshot you’re seeing? Also, is there row / column level security on the dataset?
Look, the fastest way for you to be able to resolve this would be filing a case with AWS Support where the team can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps!
