I am planning to create a dashboard in Amazon QuickSight and would like to embed it in a CMS website, allowing any visitor to view the dashboard. Is this possible, and if so, what would be the best approach for embedding it? Additionally, for certain websites, I would like to add password protection so that only users with the correct credentials can access the dashboard. Could you provide guidance on how to implement this feature?
Hello Minhajuddin,
First of all welcome to the QuickSight Community.
Brief answer to your questions-
- For public / any visitor - Anonymous Embedding
- For Known User - Registered user embedding

Is the “Anonymous Embedding” feature for public or any visitor access only available with AWS Enterprise Edition? My organization is currently using the AWS Basic Support plan. Is there any alternative way to enable public or anonymous embedding under the Basic Support plan?
Hello Minhajuddin,
First of all Before you can embed content, make sure that you’re using QuickSight Enterprise edition in the AWS account.
Anonymous user embedding offers a lightweight option for you to bring insights to your users without the need to register them in QuickSight. You can use anonymous embedding to share your dashboards to any number of users in your application and scale as you go. With row-level security, you can further customize your data based on pre-determined context and showcase relevant insights to your users.
I guess the support plan is a different thing . you can still have Anonymous Embedding with Basic support plan as long as you QuickSight Enterprise Edition.
- you would need to opt for Capacity based pricing and NOT user based pricing.
Hope this helps and clears your doubt.
Cheers,
