you should try to contact the support explained here: Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support (amazon.com)
Other than this, is the dataset now gone? Or could it just not be replaced? What exactly happend to you dataset. I don’t think there is an API command to restore a dataset

I will follow up with them.
The dataset is not gone, no .It just does not want to replace it. The old one still remains but it fails to replace it with the new one.
So luckily, I did not lose it, no.
