Scenario:
We have a stoplight visual in one of our dashboards, where rows are color-coded based on conditional formatting. This is crucial for quick data analysis and decision-making.
Issue:
When we export the stoplight visual to CSV or Excel, the color grading does not get retained in the exported file. We only see the raw data without any visual cues (e.g., red, yellow, green).
Question:
How can we export this visual such that the color grading is also included?
If this feature is not currently supported, are there any workarounds or planned enhancements to include this functionality?

Conditional formatting in the dashboard works as expected.
The data is exporting correctly, but without colors.

Thank you bringing this to attention, unfortunately this is a current limitation with the link between QuickSight and Excel docs. I believe that the only viable work around would be to export as a pdf.
I agree that this would be a nice feature addition though so I’ll mark this as a feature request to promote visibility to the AWS support team!
Hi @Brett thank you for your response it would to nice to have that feature request but I see only for the specific visual we dont have a functionality to export as PDF , Could you please look into this also?

Correct, currently the only option to export a pdf is to publish a dashboard, not at the analysis level. This can be limiting though as it will only capture what your screen shows for each visual (does not incorporate data that can only be viewed from a visual scroll.
Because of these limitations, I tagged this as a feature request.

We appreciate the suggestion to export the visual as a PDF as a temporary workaround. While this does solve part of the problem, we were hoping to use the exported data in tools like Excel for further analysis, where retaining the color-coded formatting is equally important.
