Failing to create timestream datasource


cant create a timestream data source, have done this in the past multiple times.
not sure if theres some inter service failure or if this is only in my account?

So you can create the data source but can’t create a dataset?

I would look to open up a support case.

Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps!

We cannot create the data source.
Normally when you create a data source for timestream its a 2 step process :
#1 you click “timestream” and enter a name and click create.
#2 it lists the dbs and tables and you click which one you want.

This is failing on step 1 - it will not connect to timestream to perform db and table listing (both which work on the cli and console albeit with my credentials)

Have checked IAM roles for the quicksight service worker and the permissions seem correct and the normal built in policies are applied to the quicksight role.

We dont have a support subscription so are unable to create technical cases.
