[Feature Request] consolidated list of UX, Styling, and Data Management improvements

Index Category Feature Request Context & Pain Points
1 Styling Granular Column Formatting (Headers, Values, Totals) Context: Currently, Conditional Formatting primarily targets cell values. We cannot style Headers or Totals independently. Request: Allow applying background/text colors specifically to Headers, Values, Subtotals, and Grand Totals independently within a single column configuration.
2 Styling Independent Styling for Total Column Cells Context: The Total column currently lacks flexibility; its cells either match the standard cells or the header style. Request: Allow distinct font and color settings for the “Header” cell versus the “Value” cells within the Total/Grand Total column.
3 Styling Data Bars in Pivot Tables Request: Bring the Data Bars visual feature (currently only available in standard Tables) to Pivot Tables to enhance data visualization.
4 Styling Native Basic Shapes Tool Request: Add a native library for basic shapes (Lines, Rectangles, Circles) to group visuals or separate dashboard sections without relying on external images or Custom Visual Content.
5 Sorting Custom Sorting for Filter Controls Context: String fields in Filter Controls (e.g., Month Names) are forced to sort Alphabetically, which causes confusion. Request: Allow “Sort By” another field directly within the Control settings to enable custom logical ordering (e.g., Chronological order).
6 Sorting Custom Sorting for Chart Legends Request: Similar to Filter Controls, allow custom sorting options for items displayed in the Chart Legend.
7 Data Mgmt Replace Dataset per Visual Context: Replacing a dataset currently affects the entire Analysis. The workaround (duplicating analysis → copying visual back) is inefficient. Request: Allow swapping the dataset for a single specific visual without affecting others.
8 Data Mgmt Expose SPICE Refresh Schedule Metadata Context: End-users are often unaware of the dashboard’s refresh schedule. Using manual text boxes is error-prone. Request: Provide a System Parameter for “Next Scheduled Refresh” (or Schedule details) to display dynamically on the dashboard.
9 UX Conditional Visibility & State (Disable) for Filter Controls Request: Extend the Rules functionality to allow Hiding or Disabling (graying out) specific Filter Controls based on parameter values. Note: We specifically need the Disable state, not just Hide.
10 UX Scheduled Notification/Maintenance Banner Context: Informing users about maintenance or data delays currently requires manual updates.

Please let me know if any of these requests are unclear; I would be happy to explain them in more detail.
