I have AWS root account and created One IAM user over there. Now from root account I have assign reader Role to that IAM User but still IAM user won’t able to see any published dashboard.Help me to assign Reader permission to IAM User.
Hello @Bhargavi
Welcome to the community! Thanks for your question!
To assign Reader permissions to an IAM user in Amazon Quick Sight so that they can view published dashboards, follow these steps:
In the Quick Sight console, navigate to the Manage Quick Sight section by clicking on your profile name at the top right and selecting Manage Quick Sight. Quick Sight Admins have the authority to invite IAM users to Quick Sight
Invite the IAM User:
- In the “Manage Users” section, click on “Invite users.”
- Enter the email address associated with the IAM user.
- Assign the role “Reader.”
- Click “Send invitations.”
You can refer Using Amazon QuickSight with IAM - Amazon QuickSight for better understanding from Quick Sight.
Just in case… remember that you need to share the dashboards with this new user. You can share it in the dashboard menu options or by using shared folders.
