Highcharts text visual character limit

Hi,
I’m trying to display a Highcharts text visual as shown in demo, but the text cuts out in the middle. The text is very long, so I’m suspecting there is a character limitation for Highcharts titles in Quicksight. Couldn’t find any info on the topic, could you please help me with it?
Thanks!

Hi @nadavkl

Welcome to the Quick Sight community!

Quick Sight, visual titles are limited to 120 characters, including spaces. Subtitles can be up to 500 characters long. This limitation may cause longer Highcharts titles to be truncated.

  1. Shorten the Title - Abbreviate the title to fit within the 120 character limit.
  2. Utilize the subtitle feature, which allows up to 500 characters, to include additional information.
  3. Implement tooltips to display the full title or additional details when users hover over the title area. This can be achieved using the tooltip configuration in Highcharts.

By applying any of these strategies, you can effectively manage longer titles in your Highcharts visuals within Quick Sight.

Hi @Xclipse , Thanks for the quick response!
I think I was misunderstood: In my question, I’m not talking about the visual title. I’m talking about the title configuration in Highcharts that is used to display text visuals, as shown here:

I am using exactly the same prompt, but the text cuts in the middle. It does let me display over 1000 characters, but I would like more if possible. I will look at the solutions and see if they help.
Thanks!

Hi @nadavkl

Apologies for the delayed response!

Could you please try this and see if it fits your needs,

Divide Text: Split lengthy text into title and subtitle sections to distribute content.

Adjust Font Size: Reduce the font size to accommodate more text within the visual boundaries.

Use Custom Narratives: For extensive textual content, consider using Quick Sight’s custom narrative feature, which can handle larger text blocks more effectively.
